A New Temple in Japan

A new temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints held its public open house while Zach was in the MTC and was dedicated in Sapporo, Japan on August 21, 2016, just before Harvey Choro arrived there.  It is the 151st operating temple of the Church, 8th temple in Asia and the 3rd temple in Japan (Tokyo and Fukuoka).

Here is a link to great video showing the exterior and interior of the new temple, plus giving explanation of the symbolism built into the temple.  Temples generally have themes associated with them and there is great thought and work that goes into even the smallest of details.  When you watch the video, you will know what I mean.  This temple uses a lot of the Japanese culture and symbolism in it.
